Day Opportunities

Day Opportunities

Day opportunities are health, social care, or leisure services that help you keep active, learn new skills, and maintain friendships and social contacts.

Our day opportunities service is designed to give people with learning disabilities and physical disabilities the opportunity to meet new people, learn new skills, and take part in community activities.

Activities are many and varied and can include:

  • Arts and crafts
  • Improving digital skills
  • Independent living skills (such as preparing a meal)
  • Keeping active (such as fitness programs)
  • Outings in the community
  • Other group activities

Our day opportunities services are flexible and ever-changing to meet the needs of the individuals referred.

Unfortunately, we cannot provide transport to and from the service location(s), so users will need to arrange their own transport. If users are funded by the council, they may be able to help them with transportation so it’s advisable to talk to them about this.

For more information about the service please contact our office

If you would like to register your interest in using the Day Opportunity service please contact your social worker, or you can visit our referral page here if you receive Direct Payment.
